Dermalogica 12 Days to Glow

Wednesday, 12 December 2018
* This post contains gifted items*

Tis the season to be jolly, start every morning with tiny chocolate and tiny presents if beauty calendars are your thing. I've never personally had a beauty advent calendar so when Dermalogica sent the 12 Days to Glow gift set to me as a Christmas treat, it was safe to say I was over the moon with it. I get to start it from today but I was a little cheeky and cracked into it early so I could show you guys what treats are packed into the next 12 days.

Hobby Blogger Guilt

Sunday, 18 November 2018

This post has been lurking around in the back of my mind for a while now, so I guess its time to get it out there. There is so much I could say on this matter so this could easily turn into a bit of a ramble, but bear with me, it'll make sense. Blogging has blown up, there's so many people doing it now and it can be really hard to find yourself, specially while being distracted by everyone reaching their "goals" and "doing better" than you. I know I was getting a little downhearted by it, but there was literally no need, because I'm a hobby blogger.

My Dermalogica Skin Care Routine

Monday, 5 November 2018
*All products in this post are Gifted by Dermalogica*
A while back now, *Dermalogica got in touch with me to be part of their #Skinfluencer programme which I of course jumped at, because we all know I love me some skincare. I had seen their products floating around Instagram, people praising them as their holy grail, but I was yet to give any of their products a whirl. Until now. I consulted with their Skinfluencer team, gave them all the information I could on my skin type & told them what I ultimately wanted to achieve for my skin. A week or so later & a big old box of treats specifically for my skin type arrived.

Skin Positivity With Yes To Tomatoes

Wednesday, 10 October 2018
This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Yes To.

Okay, so let's be real. We all have skin hang ups & a majority of the time we do our best to cover it up because tackling the issues can be difficult as well as costly, right? If you've read my blog before then you'd know I'm forever trying out new skin care, switching up products & trying to find what works for my skin. Due to medication I have to take, I have acne as a side effect, it'll probably never completely go away, but I can treat my skin well & try my best to control it. And that's exactly what I've been doing recently with the help of *Yes To Tomatoes.

Chatty Catch up #1

Sunday, 7 October 2018

Well, life has been pretty turbulent lately in all aspects, so I took a step back from blogging to give myself a minute & take the pressure off as I felt like I had zero time for anything. After not regularly blogging for a while I've started to miss it. It's my safe place, I can just sit and write about anything & everything, while also feeling a bit better for actually getting something done. As I've been a little off radar lately I thought I'd start off with a chatty catch up, which I've never actually done, thinking that this will help me get back into it. We'll, here's hoping anyway.

Urban Decay NAKED Cherry - First Impressions

Tuesday, 25 September 2018

I must save money. I must save money. Oh, NEW Urban Decay palette? * Buys within 2 minutes of receiving the email*
If you know me, then you know I'm an UD girl forever and always. At first I wasn't drawn in by their palettes but I got a Naked palette anyway and now I have almost all of them. No regrets. We all know when Urban Decay launch a new product it's going to be big. I had seen the leaks for the Naked Cherry palette and didn't even double think about buying it. It was more of a need situation. After a very speedy delivery, I now have the beautiful new palette in my hands so I think it's time for a first impressions & a few swatches right?

Cocktail Tables at Turtle Bay

Monday, 10 September 2018

We all know that *Turtle Bay is the place to go for cocktails, but we also know that it's super popular and end up fighting your way to the bar, which can easily kill the mood. Specially if you're as short as me and end up with elbows in the face, not the most fun! Normally if I'm going to visit I always book in advance so I can skip the whole bar issue & comfortably sip a cocktail with a meal. Luckily, Turtle Bay have now introduced something to make those after work drinks, or catch ups much more enjoyable...Cocktail Tables. Which means you can now book a table just for drinks! Our prayers have been answered.

Afternoon Tea at The White Horse Romsey

Sunday, 2 September 2018

Afternoon tea is quintessentially British, so it was only right that on the day we visited *The White Horse Romsey it was a very rainy Sunday, although that did add a little something to the day making it feel that bit more cosy. I'd be lying if I said I didn't love going for tiny cakes & warm scones with friends while having a catch up over hot pots of tea.
I've heard of The White Horse before & only ever good things so I couldn't wait to see what all the fuss was about. After all, they have recently been awarded Highly Commended in the afternoon tea awards. We were definitely in for a treat.

Experience Rio Street Food With Cabana Brasil

Sunday, 26 August 2018

*Cabana is somewhere I have actually visited time & time again because they never disappoint, from the extensive cocktail menu filled with gummy worms & sprinkles to the wide variety of food going from mild to extra hot, it's somewhere I always recommend. So one evening a bunch of bloggers met after their busy days to sip on some cocktails & try the Rio street food, sounds like a fun night right?

The Ivy Winchester Brasserie

Wednesday, 22 August 2018

A little while back my sister Alice and I went for a girls day out in Winchester. I was given the opportunity to go and see what The Ivy Winchester Brasserie was all about so I took Alice along with me for a day out and a little treat. I unfortunately wasn't able to get to any of the opening events so this was the perfect opportunity to see what it was like in full swing. Don't get me wrong, I love an opening event and blogger evening but with restaurants, I like to experience them as a customer would. I often go back to places after openings to see how everything runs on a normal day.

Onboard Independence of the Seas with Royal Caribbean

Sunday, 19 August 2018
*This is a Sponsored post*
What with living in a Port city, I often see the comings and goings of all the Cruise Ships and the guests but I've never actually been onboard a ship until now, and what a ship to start off with. I've always thought of cruising as a luxury and adult only, turns out it really is for everyone. All I've ever expected from a ship is for it to be really extravagant, up market and that I wouldn't be the right clientele. Turns out I was very wrong, I mean it is extravagant but I'd fit right in. Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas was the first ship I've ever been onboard and it's recently had a multi-million pound make over. Which means it returned even bigger and better than before, I grabbed my passport, met up with some other local bloggers and off we went to explore the floating city itself.

Room2 Southampton A Place To Live, Not Just Stay

Saturday, 7 July 2018

At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to pop along to the launch of *Room2, the worlds first Hometel, and I can assure you, it's nothing like you've ever seen before. I actually go by Room2 while travelling to and from work, so after watching the process of it all coming together from afar I was very much looking forwards to seeing the Hometel in all it's glory.

YesTo // Cucumbers

Thursday, 14 June 2018

Guess who's got another skincare blog coming at you? Hardly a surprise considering its me and the face mask obsession I can't control. Luckily *YesTo have well and truly sorted me out with their Cucumber range to help celebrate #CucumberDay. Cucumbers floating in a drink are delightful, but skincare that's bursting with cucumber is even more delightful. If you regularly read my posts then you would know my skin is fairly sensitive and if I'm honest, I've never used skincare that's felt so soothing & comforting on my skin.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation

Wednesday, 23 May 2018

Lets be real. The hype around Fenty Beauty was unmissable. The new beauty range looked like everything the industry needed, a range of foundation shades that really did have a colour match for everyone, lip gloss that complemented all skin tones and highlighters that looked insanely pigmented. Rihanna hit the nail on the head with this new beauty launch.
I've been wanting to try the range since the launch but with not having a counter near buy I took my time to try and figure out my shade before just blindly buying and hoping for the best.

War Horse at The Mayflower Theatre

Saturday, 19 May 2018

The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton are known for putting on the best shows in the area & I'm lucky enough to attend some productions with Southampton Bloggers. This time around it's The National Theatre's acclaimed production of *War Horse. The Production has previously been played on its first visit to Southampton back in February 2014 and has since travelled worldwide, including an record breaking 8 year round run in London.
Now it's Southampton's turn to experience Albert & Joey's story all over again.

Urban Decay BackTalk - First Impressions

Monday, 23 April 2018

The one & only time I will jump on a new release hype is when its an Urban Decay drop. I know for a fact I will never be let down or disappointed once it gets delivered. They are experts in all things make up whether that be formula, design or colour, they kill it every damn time and BackTalk is no exception. The monochromatic palette of dreams.

Face Mask Update

Sunday, 22 April 2018

We all know I love me a face mask, that's not a surprise to anyone. My go to and recently a slight obsession has been with sheet masks, I have an unhealthy amount of them but I also can't keep my hands off the cream & powder face masks too. So I thought I'd give you a little run down of my favourites to use right now.

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics

Wednesday, 18 April 2018

Now, I know I'm super late on the band wagon here, but I'm doing it anyway. I wasn't ever really that fussed by the Naked Collection by Urban Decay, that was until the Naked Heat made an appearance & I spent the morning of that palettes release stuck to my laptop trying to get one (luckily I did).  Once I had one member of the Naked family it was time to expand, first on my list was the Naked Ultimate Basics palette.

A VIP Experience With Grosvenor Casino

Wednesday, 11 April 2018

A blog post that starts with cocktails is a blog post I want to be writing, and that's exactly how our night with *Grosvenor Casino started. I'll be honest, I really wasn't sure how this night was going to go, I've purposely avoided casinos in the past because I never saw them as a place to go for dinner & drinks, plus I'm not one to bet or even know how to work a roulette table (see my main issue here?)
A few other Southampton Bloggers and I had an evening at Grosvenor to see what their casino is really about.

Achieving Clearer Skin with T-Zone's Charcoal & Bamboo Range

Wednesday, 4 April 2018
* This is a sponsored post, see disclaimer.
I don't know about you, but I find myself hanging around the skincare section of *Superdrug far too often. I used to have lovely skin but it took a turn and has now become v e r y problematic, which if I'm honest, I'm not here for it. Something I am here for is affordable skin care. I've spent so much money on face scrubs, face masks and face washes claiming to target those prone areas that just haven't lived up to the hype. I've been eyeing up the *T-Zone Charcoal & Bamboo range for a while now, I personally picked up the Black Peel Off Mask a few months back and regularly use it but the lovely people from T-zone kindly sent me the whole collection for me to review.

A Year Of Products

Sunday, 4 March 2018

My plan at the beginning of the year was to do a round up of products that have been getting a lot of attention from me over the last few months, some of them being new to the beauty stash, some of them being old faves and even some I've been lusting after and finally got my hands on.
We may be 3 months into the year now but fuck it, Ima do this post any way! (mainly because I made such a mess getting all these bits together and that effort isn't about to be wasted)

Wonder Wash & Wonder Care | Percy & Reed

Sunday, 18 February 2018

Who doesn't love a new product to try out? These two are the newest additions to the *Percy & Reed  award winning Wonder Collection. Reading up about these products overwhelmed me a little as they seem to do so much for your hair, I mean there were things listed that I didn't even know hair needed. I fully needed some hair care education and Percy & Reed delivered that.

LUSH Valentines & Mothers Day Haul

Sunday, 11 February 2018

HIYA! Been a while hasn't it? I took a planned break over the festive period..and then shit happened and the break got longer because, well..life. But here I am, back at it with a LUSH haul, who'd have guessed it?
Most people will know I have an unhealthy obsession with Lush and can't help but buy myself something every single time I'm near a store because I can almost guarantee that I deserved a treat that day, any excuse for some expensive bath bombs really. Swings and roundabouts though because I always smell delightful ( if I do say so myself).
Anyway..Lush Haul!
