Skin Positivity With Yes To Tomatoes

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Yes To.

Okay, so let's be real. We all have skin hang ups & a majority of the time we do our best to cover it up because tackling the issues can be difficult as well as costly, right? If you've read my blog before then you'd know I'm forever trying out new skin care, switching up products & trying to find what works for my skin. Due to medication I have to take, I have acne as a side effect, it'll probably never completely go away, but I can treat my skin well & try my best to control it. And that's exactly what I've been doing recently with the help of *Yes To Tomatoes.

I've kinda got to the stage now where I'm just like, this is my skin, it is scarred & I'm prone to break outs because at the end of the day, I've made peace with my scars & the fact that I'll never have completely clear skin. That's not something to feel bad about, although that is easier said than done. It took me a while to find my skin confidence, but here I am, going to work make up free & not having a care in the world.

Don't get me wrong, I have been through my fair share of skincare targeted for my skin type that just didn't work, or it was too harsh. Along with break out prone skin, I have very sensitive skin too that loves to have bad reactions to harsh products. In the last couple of years I discovered Yes to & I've introduced some of their products into my skin care routine. I regularly use products from their Cucumber range for sensitive skin as well as having face masks from almost all of the different ranges. I've found that my skin has been really enjoying more natural skincare recently & has reacted well to it. Of course this is where Yes To products are great, their products are at least 95% natural, cruelty free & vegan. I'm going to give you a run down of what I've been using recently.

*Daily Repair Treatment - I personally thought this one was going to be harsh, but it actually isn't. It's nice & light on the skin while also being super gentle. There's Salicylic Acid to help clear up blemishes & allows skin to heal, Bisabolol & Ginger to help control redness, with Witch Hazel to control oil & sebum production while being 98% natural. You pop a thin layer on the skin after cleansing.

* Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser - Oh I do love a cleanser that has a little scrub in there, after I use this one my skin always feels that little extra clean. There's Charcoal to draw out impurities, Tomato extract to add a little dose of antioxidants, Jojoba spheres for super light exfoliation & Salicylic Acid for a deep clean. You just need to massage onto a wet face & scrub away until you feel you're done.

 * Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask - Now on to my favourite type of skincare, face masks! Also a big fan of mud masks, they always feel like they really did the trick. I actually have 3 of this mask stashed away. This mask draws out impurities, treats & prevents blemishes, while also conditioning the skin. There's a real mix of ingredients in this one including, Tomato, Aloe, Watermelon, Pumpkin & Chamomile.

Next up are a couple of products I picked up for myself as I wanted to try them out & there was no better time to do it.

Detoxifying Charcoal Peel Off Mask - Not going to lie, saw this one on Yes To's Instagram and though it looked a bit fun and far less messy than the usual peel off ones. So this mask is formulated with Charcoal & Tomato to help eliminate dead skin & excess oil, to give your skin a boost to looking naturally clear. Each time I've used this mask my skin has looked visibly brighter & clearer afterwards.

Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Wipes - Honestly, this is the only product I'm not the biggest fan of, I didn't feel like they completely removed my make up. These wipes can be used as a quick deep cleanse & no need to rinse your skin after. I found they worked better on clean skin as a quick freshen.

I have to say, when I first started to use these products I did get a few break outs, but, they are products designed to draw out impurities so I guess that's to be expected. Other than that, my skin is a fan & is looking slightly better. I'll probably be adding a few bits into my skincare for good now, I usually pop to my local Holland & Barrett to pick up Yes To products but that just got a whole lot easier because I can now pick them up as the same time as my weekly shop as Yes To is now available in Sainsburys.

So, who's going to join in with spreading a little #SkinPositivity with #YesToTomatoes?
