When Umberto Giannini first launched their Banana Butter Range back in March 2021 they sent me the whole range to try out & I have been using it ever since. At the time my hair just seemed a little dry & frizzy, it really wasn't looking how I wanted it to be looking, so it was the perfect time to try this range out.
The Banana Butter range is designed to nourish, restore shine & improve manageability for dry, frizzy & textured hair with 97% natural ingredients. The range is also vegan and cruelty free. Included in the range is shampoo, conditioner, co-wash, scalp & hair oil and a leave in conditioner.

Superfood Shampoo
Gently cleanses without stripping your hair of its natural oils, a blend of coconut and banana plus natural oils & vitamins to help improve the manageability of your hair, safe for coloured, chemically treated or relaxed hair & for extensions too. My hair at the time just felt it lacked shine, needed moisture & just seemed like it was getting frizzier & wasn't as sleek as its previously been.

Superfood Conditioner
This is a very creamy formula full of natural oils like the shampoo but it really restores the softness & shine of your hair. The range all has the same banana & coconut scent but each product has its own job. The conditioner helps to tame the frizz while if you're a curly girls it helps to define curls, it really does leave your hair feeling soft, while also being paraben, sulphate & silicon free.

Scalp & Hair Oil
You should then follow up with the Scalp & Hair oil, the scalp is often forgotten so using an oil as a post wash treatment can be really beneficial, this oil is really light weight & hasn't left my hair feeling greasy after using. It instantly adds shine & tames fizziness. Silicone & paraben free, plus it has the same fruity scent. I often use this after curling or blow drying my hair to tame the frizz & help it look shinier & sleek. It also helps to heal breakage too.

Leave-in Conditioner
A repairing and restoring leave in conditioning styling butter, now I will stay this one I didn't reach for as much as it just wasn't something my hair needed an awful lot of, but I can see this product being a curly girls friend. This product helps to repair, strengthen and de-frizz, while also restoring the bounce to curls, so I say it was definitely directed more towards curls that thicker / frizzy hair, but it has helped me manage my hair when its being a bit unruly.

Overall I really do rate these products, I've been using them for quite some time now & I'm not bored of smelling like a foam banana yet. I don't have curly hair but I do have thick hair that kinks & a lot of it too, so it has definitely helped to keep it hydrated & to maintain shiny sleeker hair. As much as I rate the shampoo & conditioner, the scalp & hair oil is my favourite product, plus popping it through your hair after styling just adds that little extra shine.

Does it sound like something you'd try?
