Urban Decay | Naked Heat

Thursday 15 June 2017

Guess what landed in my hands this morning?! Forgive me for being so quick off of the mark with this post but I just had to share this new release from Urban Decay with you. Let's face it, if you knew about the pre sale of this palette on Monday, you were definitely joining in with the sweaty palms and heart palpitations trying to get hold of one. Naked Heat is the newest member of the Naked Palette family and my god am I glad this palette has arrived.

Monday Morning was every makeup addicts nightmare. We had all seen the teases UD put out, and of course we all needed it. I had decided I needed this palette first time I saw it, the shades are me and every colour I love packed into one palette...and a lot of other people also thought the same.

This is actually my first ever Naked palette, I'm not one the throw £40 at a palette for the sake of it, so when I do it's because I've fallen in love with it. And I think I fell a little harder as soon as I opened up my delivery. I absolutely love Urban decay, a lot of my daily routine includes their products but none of the previous Naked palettes jumped out at me. I don't like to willy nilly buy products and palettes for them to just sit there and not get used, so for me to have been on my laptop for 11am on Monday morning because I needed this palette says a lot.

So, now onto the palette design its self, the beautiful Naked Heat. The packaging is perfectly UD, it stands out and I haven't seen anything like it around. It comes in a presentation box, which then slides to reveal the product like a match box. The palettes casing is plastic, quite heavy and a little chunky I'd say. I do love the main presentation of the palette, with a mirrored burnt orange, yellows and purples base to basically mimic a sunset, with copper 3D lines on top and finishing it off with a transparent cover with the palette name embossed in gold writing. A lot of work and thought went into that design, including the inside of the box having a line of burnt matches to mimic the burnt tones of the shadows.

The shadows in the palette are pretty much a hot sunset for your eyes with the opportunity to make so many different eye looks with just one product. There's shimmers, mattes, highlight and base colours all in there. I've already had a massive play with the shades and I don't think I'll be using anything else for a while now. I'm also loving the names in this one too.

Here's a low down of each shade starting from lightest;

Ounce- Light pearly highlight
Chaser- Light nude matte
Sauced- Soft terracotta matte
Low Blow- Warm brown matte
Lumbre- Copper rose gold metallic
He Devil- Burnt red matte
Dirty Talk- Metallic burnt red
Scorched- Deep pink rose gold metallic
Cayenne- Deep terracotta matte
En Fuego- Deep burgundy matte
Ashes- Deep purple/brown matte
Ember- Deep metallic warm brown

Each shadow is insanely pigmented, easy to blend and a really soft texture. The brush that comes with the palette is double ended and super soft, one side is for blending the other a crease brush. Naked Heat comes with 12 all new scorched neutrals that can only be found in this palette. Naked Heat officially launches July 27th.

But in true UD style, this palette did not disappoint. I'm so happy this is my first Naked purchase, I'm pretty sure I'm going to need to add the lipsticks and liners to my collection too.
Did you get the Naked Heat?
