Antipodes | Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream

Sunday 26 February 2017

Eye cream is something I've only recently introduced into my skincare regime. I was told that your skin starts to age from 25, so what with recently turning 25, I decided my skin needed that little extra care. I've always looked at eye creams and thought I didn't need them. But I definitely did. I trialled out a No7 skin care set that included an eye cream and I really noticed a difference. I had heard good things about Antipodes , so when I noticed it on Asos I popped it straight in my basket.

Antipodes is a scientific organic beauty brand from New Zealand. Skin care and make up from Antipodes are made from a combination of high quality ingredients found in New Zealand's nature and raw super fruit extracts which the brand then do their magic to make high-tech certified organic and premium formula's. Antipodes is certified vegetarian and has scientific validation to prove its performance. So obviously I had high hopes.

Since using the eye cream I've noticed a massive difference. Like I've said before, I never review a skin care product until I've actually been using it long enough to benefit from it. This eye cream claims to soften fine lines, moisturise and to stimulate type 1 collagen production. I do have fine lines, because you know, I smile sometimes, along with other facial expressions. Mainly squinting of the eyes for the 'death stare' so people know I'm unimpressed. So, 25 years of dealing with peoples shit has resulted in fine line. Working and having less time to nap has made dark circles and bags appear and my skin normally gets fairly dry in the winter months. All in all, this was the eye cream I needed.

I've been using this morning and night daily for almost 2 months now. The eye cream is ideal for sensitive skin and I have had absolutely no irritation while using it. It's a light soothing cream, so its actually pretty refreshing whether you're just getting up or popping it on after a long day. My under eyes are brighter and the dark circles have massively reduced. I've always referred to the skin under my eyes as 'loose' but actually, it now seems tighter and you can visibly see the difference. My make up is now sitting so much better under my eyes. Even the fine lines have reduced.

I read about Antipodes before purchasing, the science behind it, the products they use and how the performance of the product had been tested. Which obviously meant I was going in expecting great things, and they didn't disappoint. They have so many products that sound like something I need in my life, specially everything that has Manuka Honey in it. Because that is the stuff made by gods. I would fully prepare yourselves for another Antipodes review in the future.

Have you ever used any of their products?
